Studio Session Bass | Progressive Metal, Singer Songwriter, Rock, Country for $350

Tracks/EPs/Albums:
The proposed fee is for one working day of recording. If you have a larger project such as an EP or album, or god forbid a long prog song (YESSSSS) then we'll have to negotiate that based the scope, complexity, and style of the project as well as my availability. I have a range of other musicians I can send to you for other options as well.

Gear:
I have access to a variety of bass guitars, so if there's a particular tone you're after let me know. My predominant instrument is a Dingwall Combustion 5, which is as versatile a guitar as it comes. The articulations that I've stretched out of this instrument is crazy. I've also got a wide variety of custom impulse responses that I use for my tone, including my Quad Cortex and every Neural DSP & Universal Audio plugin, and I have 15 years of tuning my ear to bass guitar tone and fitting into dense mixes. I run through a 1073 preamp into any 1 of 3 compressors: Distressor, UA1176, or LA-2 and my AD/DA conversion is through a UA Apollo.

What I'll provide:
I'll provide a raw DI line that you will be free to scalpel as much as you like, there's really no being precious there. On top of that I'll also print multiple chains of pedals, 1x amp + dual cab line, and any effects that may bring life to the track. In my session work I provide far more than is asked in order to be shaped however you like.

Editing/Takes:
I can edit my DI line if you like, or I can leave it raw and wriggling if you want to do it yourself e.g. if there are other instruments yet to be tracked, or you just prefer control. I often provide multiple takes if necessary - I like when arrangers are able to have as much flexibility with the process as possible.

Revisions:
One revision only, unless there's a rendering/editing issue in the audio files which doesn't count.
